On Tuesday 23rd November 2021 the energy provider Bulb was placed into special administration. The company was founded in 2015 with the aim to make energy more affordable and greener.
Earlier this year Bulb had been bidding for funding from investors, but with the recent energy crisis causing concern for investors and the wholesale prices for energy rising this led the company into a loss.
For anyone who was a member of the energy provider, you do not need to take any action. The administrators who are dealing with this will contact all members in due course.
More energy providers are set to fall into administration because of the recent energy crisis.
Why is there an energy crisis?
The cost price for wholesale energy is at an all-time high leaving energy providers no choice but to up their prices. Also, some smaller companies cannot afford to buy mass energy at the current prices which is why we have already seen many fall into administration.
Secret Commissions
If you or your business swapped energy suppliers, especially by using a broker, there is a very good chance that the broker received a payment from the energy supplier for introducing you as a new customer. If you were told about this commission then fine, however, most of us knew nothing about it and these secret commissions were paid by your energy provider, therefore costing you more.
That sounds unfair…and it is.
You can go back 12 years to investigate whether you were a victim of hidden commissions and you can claim it all back.
We are currently helping thousands of people with these claims.
